Government Property 2017

Thursday 2nd February, QEII Centre, London SW1P 3EE

Government Property 2017 conference, held in partnership with Cabinet Office's Government Property Unit, is a unique opportunity for delegates to better understand the Government Estate Strategy and to get closer to the centre of government thinking on the future of publicly owned and managed land and property.

Ideally suited to the interests and responsibilities of all public sector property professionals the key subject matter will examine the vision for the new look estate, which will kick start regeneration, encourage housebuilding, break down barriers to cross-sector working and deliver real financial benefit at local, regional and national levele.

Main themes which will be explored in the 2017 conference will be:

- The public-private relationship: the government is the largest asset holder in the UK, what are the real barriers to both sectors working together to maximise value from these assets and how is this changing?

- Workplaces for the future, featuring the Government Hubs initiative and changes to local government and NHS workspaces

- Asset management: strategy and practice

- GPU's One Public Estate programme now works with over 150 Local Authorities to enable economic growth and service transformation. Together, partnerships who joined Phase 3 of the programme expect to deliver £56m savings in running costs, £138m revenue in capital receipts, 36,000 new jobs and 16,500 new homes over the next five years. How can you get involved in this ambitious programme?

- The New Government Estate Strategy: implications for the wider public sector

Government Property 2017 will provide delegates with a unique opportunity to hear from and question expert speakers from across the public and private sectors, engage with solution providers and to build and renew networks with their peers. We look forward to welcoming friends old and new.
